It was a lovely early autumn afternoon for a walk, and so 7 women and a dog set out from the Church for the walk we had done earlier in the year when we saw lots of glorious spring flowers. Today we saw their remains, and some autumnal cousins!
Here we are setting off |
The traditional spot for a photo, at the top of the lovely green climb |
There are now one or two pictures of flowers we passed along the way ... but don't fear, there are more of the walkers!
OK, not strictly a flower, but the start of the autumn colours |
We peeped inside the tiny chapel towards the end of our walk, and found it was dedicated to the Patron Saint of Waffles and Crepes .....
Naomi had kindly brought along refreshments for the walk - we were all so tempted by the speculoos that I didn't tell her we were only a few minutes from the cars! As you can see, Truffles has a sense of where he belongs!
And then to Cafe Rochus for Waffles and Crepes ...
And to be joined by Sheila's group and the welcome return of Paulette to walking with us after an extended absence!
