Another lovely walk in Tervuren park

Here we are again on the sunny terrace at the Spanish House.  Rain and thunderstorms were promised, but we were lucky!  The park was looking very lush after all the rain and some of the paths were more like streams, so we stayed on the tarmac.  We met a group of young children who were having a cycling lesson.  Let's hope they told them to stay away from walkers and to use their bells!

Isobel's walk in the forest

Thank you Isobel for taking us out in the forest on a rather damp day.  We all felt good after our exercise, and we enjoyed our conversation in the cafe too!

Anne's walk in Tervuren Park

There was heavy rain before and after our walk, but we were lucky and walked in bright sunshine.
Vyvyan rescued a tortoise which we found on the road.
We stopped at one of our regular spots for our traditional "WIC on the rocks" picture, before
enjoying coffee (and cakes!) on the terrace at the Spanish House.
Thanks Joan for the pictures.

Joan's walk in Jesus Eik

It  was a delightful afternoon to be out walking in the forest.   We spent a very long time over our drinks sitting in the shade at the café.

Paulette's walk from rue Nisard

Paulette couldn't lead the walk herself, but it's a popular one that we do frequently, so we found our way on this warm and sunny day and were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine at the café afterwards.  Hope to see you back again soon, Paulette.

Thanks to Germana for the photo.

Margaret's walk from Groenendael station

The walk took us across the Ring (via the footbridge!) to the Bosmuseum, where we glimpsed the Highland cattle recruited to keep the undergrowth at bay. Unfortunately they were far too busy to pose for the camera.

Other wildlife observed en route:
Glad the snails in the garden aren't this big!
Thanks to Germana for this photo of the duck family.
