Susan and Joan's walk in Huldenberg

We had another splendid sunny afternoon for our walk around the lovely countryside near Huldenberg.  We were glad to find that Cafe Rochus had reopened, and we had to check that the pancakes were still as good as ever!

Janet's walk in the Bois

Today we felt as if autumn has arrived!  Lovely walking weather, sunny and autumnally fresh!

We were quite a large group (14) for this regular route, although we were forced into back-tracking and following another path when our route was barred by red tape.  This meant we took a path I normally avoid due to the short but steep climb, but we all managed it and emerged into a scene of devastation!  No photo, but it was quite eerie suddenly stepping out from a beautiful wooded hill into a space where all the trees have been felled and the ground littered with the debris from the work.

Coffee was taken at the golf club in the open air!

Anne's walk in Tervuren Park

It was another glorious sunny afternoon in Tervuren, with no sign of autumn yet.
After a full two-hour walk we enjoyed our coffee (and cakes!) on the Spanish House terrace.

Monday 19 September - Janet's (Previously Paulette's) Walk in Neerijse

Due to a small hiccough Paulette couldn't lead so I enjoyed taking over the role and bullying you all into walking at a brisk pace along the beautiful route out at Neerijse!

Actually, we did do this walk rather fast, and we were only walking for 90 minutes - we clearly need to find a short extension to this walk to increase the number of calories we burn!

And in answer to the question: I have found an old copy of the route and we did walk very nearly 6km!

We were delighted that Paulette was able to rejoin us before the end of the walk.

Pictures were taken at the usual picture stops!

Thank you so much dear Christa for welcoming us so warmly

on your lovely terrace. It was a real treat!
