Lydia's walk in Bois de la Cambre on Monday 8th October

There were 10 ladies in the group walking in the Bois de la Cambre who joined up with Sheila at the Café Presse afterwards.  My apologies to all for not having taken any photos of the group seated on the sidewalk enjoying our drinks.
For a recap, we walked 4.77 miles (7.68 km), burned 360 calories and found every hill we could along the way.  Melly was able to enjoy her cappuccino with chantilly guilt-free!  We crossed into the northern portion of the Forêt de Soignes from the Bois and then wove our way back.  The track of our walk looks a bit tipsy to me!  We took a jag along the backside of Avenue Franklin Roosevelt to see the rear of Villa Empain and the sculptures that are in the backyard.  No one had seen these before and the Art Appreciation group will be there on Wednesday to enjoy an exhibit.  It was interesting to see the Villa from a different angle.
The weather was a good temperature for the walk and the rain held off for once. (Comment and photos by Lydia)
