We were very happy to meet up again with a former walker and friend, Kathleen from California, who took advantage of a trip to Paris to come and walk with us in the lovely surroundings of the Abbaye de la Cambre, the Ixelles ponds and the Bois de la Cambre. Who could imagine there is such a peaceful and romantic place right in the middle of busy Brussels!
The walk around Ixelles ponds offered some beautiful views.
Even the birds posed for us to take their picture.
Deborah decided the view of our group climbing towards the blue sky was worth capturing.
And the end of the walk we felt a little bit frustrated as the Chalet Robinson was closed again for some unknown event. But 6 of us were determined to have a cup of coffee together which we really enjoyed at the Cafe Presse, a great and comfy place for socialising.
