Sue's new walk from Sterrebeek

Eight walkers braved the heat on this lovely sunny day.

But where isTruffles off to?

To stretch out in the cool shade of a tree, that's where: "Aaaah, that's nice - come and join me!
We would have, gladly, had it not been someone's garden...
Later, though, we all had the chance to relax in the shade before returning  to the café for cold drinks all round.
Thanks to Sue for this lovely new walk, and to Sue and Janet for the photos.

Janet's Walk from Dreve du Comte

It was a lovely day to be walking under the trees, which were looking lovely with the sun streaking through.

It was so lovely that we extended the walk into the Parc Solvay, which is now much more accessible since a less strenuous path has been re-opened, and we enjoyed visiting the rose garden.

And yes - there is a reason for the matching T.shirts!

Walk and Picnic in Tervueren

Today was the day of surprises. The first one was a little bit upsetting since we found out on arrival that the Rouge-Cloître car park had been closed without warning because there was going to be a festival there on Sunday and they needed time to prepare it all. But then our good fairy, in the form of  Alyane, came to our rescue, saying: No problem, you can all come to my place and beforehand we can walk in the Tervueren park.
What a relief! How generous! And so we had our picnic on her terrace in front of her beautiful garden! Thank you, dear Alyane, for being so kind and hospitable!

Paulette's walk in the Forêt de Soignes from the Barbizon

It was particularly  nice to walk in the forest today as it was very close.

Paulette's walk in Ohain/lasne

Thank you, dear Christa, for a lovely afternoon tea at your wonderful home. You spoiled our little group of courageous walkers who braved the constant rain and drizzle this Friday afternoon.
