Due to the very inclement weather last week, today's walk out at Grimbergen was cancelled and instead we did an ad-hoc walk around some of Brussels' parks.
We started off at Merode metro and walked through Cinquantenaire Park; Parc Leopold; Place de Meeus (OK that's stretching it a bit as a 'Park'); Square Frere Orban; Jardin de la Vallee de Maelbeek. By then we'd been walking for over 1 1/2 hours - it's funny how much slower we walk in town! So we missed out Square Marie-Louise and Place Ambiorix and instead cut back to Merode via the Cinquantenaire Park, where we had coffee in the Brasserie Merode.
