Janet's wettish walk from Dreve du Comte

The morning had been consistently wet and miserable, so I was delighted that there were 10 of us when we set off on our afternoon walk.

We made a short detour, which actually adds nearly half an hour to the walk, to the Parc Solvay to admire the beautiful roses.  But they weren't out.  However, fortune was with us and after winning the mighty climb up the parc's steep hill we were met by a glorious display of azaleas and rhododendrons.

The parc is also hosting a collection of modern art: pictured is an impressive gold and silver iceberg!
