Paulette's walk in Alsemberg

Today as there were only 6 of us at the meeting point, I decided to do our usual walk but anti- clockwise which was a bit of a challenge knowing that 2 of our friends had to go back home early. It needed some mental gymnastic to find our bearings. Except for one tiny detour, we managed.
It is always interesting to try a different approach, to make things more exciting. Moreover this way was less tiring because we were descending more than climbing. Again it was cold at the beginning but the exercice warmed us quickly and we finished the walk in a good frame of mind.
I recommend the pancakes at 't Pleintje. They are delicious!
We also met some lovely friends on the way :)! We certainly didn't expect to see lamas in a field but we are living in a surrealistic country aren't we!

Looks like it was a great outing!!!

I did want to send a message to all my WIC Walker friends in light of the attacks on Brussels today ... It is so hard to watch on TV. Please stay safe!!! I'm thinking of you all. Sandy

Thank you Sandy for thinking of us. We are all shocked and upset but fine. According to the media, Belgians are resilient. So are the WIC walkers :)
