In October 2004, Sandy initiated the WIC Walkers blog. She had been thinking that the group needed an easier and faster way to communicate and keep track of their schedules and outings in a fun way where photos could also be incorporated. As we know the NEWSWIC magazine takes some months in advance to prepare. This was such a good idea Sandy!

Great to see you with your new walking group in sunny Georgia!
It’s 10 years since you started the blog, and it certainly made life easier for all of us. You also started a new trend in WIC – lots of the activity groups now have their own blogs. It’s fun to look back at the pictures from 2004 and see how many ladies from that time are still walking with us, including Marie-Jo, who came all the way from Vienna to join us today. Anne

Wow, 10 years since you started the blog and what a good idea that was. I can still remember the time when I would have pen and paper at the ready waiting for the phone to ring between 8 and 9 a.m. to note down who would be coming and giving help with directions. How times have changed.

Hi Wic Walkers ... my "thanks" to Paulette for the posting. I'm just glad that you are still using the blog so that I can enjoy your walks (and crêpes - though vicariously) too. We still have quite a few colorful leaves on the trees here also. Enjoy the rest of the season ... I'll be checking in to see you all!
