Janet's walk from Dreve de Comtes

Perhaps we shouldn't admit it, but we were all just a little bit glad that today was somewhat cooler, and it was fabulous weather for walking in the forest.

Joan arrived with a quirky arrangement for walking, but she assured us she was very comfortable, and may have had the last laugh over those of us in more traditional footwear!

We headed off to the rose garden, and en-route encountered this hungry-looking young family of Egyptian Geese.  They were very grateful for Margaret's biscuit.

We wondered whether they could be the same young family we had met with when walking the same route in June.  What do you think? Is there a family resemblance in the picture below?

After the rose garden we did the 'new' route that takes us through the forest and almost directly to the Tennis Club.  It's not as hilly as the usual route, but after the hills in the Solvay Park, we didn't really mind that!

There were a lot of disappointed walkers when we were told that there were no ice creams at the club!  We felt we had earned one!
