The weather conditions were better than expected for the 8 of us on our walk from the back of the Chateau de la Hulpe this afternoon. We did about an hour and 15 minutes route around staying on the main paths to avoid slipping and sliding on the icy patches. We think we have the makings of a good, new walker as we welcomed Olivia, new to WIC, from South Africa who joined us for her first walk on probably the coldest day in years here!!! She also took a number of photos which we hope she will share with us for the blog. At -5C it was a bit brisk but the wind did not get as strong as predicted and we enjoyed the lovely scenic landscapes of this place we have walked around so frequently in all kinds of weather and at all different seasons of the year.
