Twelve of us met at the parking lot at the end of the Dr. de Comte in Watermael Boistsfort for this afternoon's excursion. The skies were threatening but we managed to get through our 2 hours without a drop of rain. We posed on the slide of a children's play ground ... being kids at heart anyway ... just for a change of pace! We were most happy toward the end of the walk to see the sun break through. It was beautiful in the forest under the lush trees on a breezy afternoon so we were suprised when we arrived at the Intero Tennis Club to find that their cafe was closed!!! Oh for goodness sakes ... why??? Several men who were sitting at a table on the lawn indicated that the person in charge would return at 4pm ... which unfortunately was too late for the group to wait. We returned to our cars and a core group of 4 of us headed to Au Repos des Chasseurs for some liquid refreshments while the rest departed. We will check in advance next time we want to visit this tennis club. Usually it has been closed only in inclement weather.
