Fri., Aug. 31st - Sandy's Boitsfort Walk
What happened to the sun???? It actually got quite chilly as we waited for our refreshments. We managed to arrive at the tennis club without interferance as we took our usual "shortcut" .. to get there. Well, Denise, Anne and Joan seem to be enjoying their "Chose"! We were soon to join them.
Fri., Aug. 31st - Sandy's Boitsford Walk
Well, I think all 12 of us would probably agree that it was "Costas" our Vibrant Waiter who made our afternoon stop at the Intero Tennis Club such an lively occasion today! Martha has decided to expand on this idea with her Friday walk on Sept. 21st!!! For those who can join her that day she is proposing to start the walk at 11am (instead of our usual 1pm) at the Boitsfort train station and end at the Intero Tennis Club for lunch!!! Sounds like a great idea ... Thanks, Martha...

Mon., Aug. 27th - Sheila's St. Agatha Rode Walk
Just one of the bucolic scenes we encountered on today's new walk in St. Agatha Rode near Huldenberg. Our many "thanks" to Sheila for working this out for us! We look forward to more new adventures ... For Dolphine's photos CLICK HERE
Mon., Aug. 27th - Sheila's St. Agatha Rode Walk
Not even a huge tree across our path could slow down the group for long this afternoon. Sheila blazed the trail by sliding between the barbed wire fence and the enormous tree trunk with its numerous branches. Most of us carried some pine needles as well as the scent of fresh Christmas trees with us for the rest of the day!

Mon., Aug. 27th - Sheila's St. Agatha Rode Walk
Twelve of us were fortunate enough to enjoy Sheila's newest walk and we were indeed fortunate with the great weather to enjoy it all.

Yes, most of us indulged in a treat this afternoon ... tarte de pomme, crepe, or Belgian waffle ... after such a great walk we all deserved it! Our cafe was on the main square in Huldenberg and we were treated with very fine service. Sheila ... when can we do another walk in this area???

Fri., Aug. 24th Sandy's Auderghem Walk
It was beautiful this afternoon as we made our way along our route through the forest. Martha wore her shoes for mud and was not disappointed when we encountered quite a bit of it in the low areas!
Fri., Aug. 24th Sandy's Auderghem Walk
Sheila had it right this afternoon. By the end of the walk we were all wishing we had worn shorts! The humidity made us feel just that much more uncomfortable. It was beautiful in the Foret de Soignes though with the sunshine breaking through the trees and the leaves casting shadows everywhere.
Fri., Aug. 24th Sandy's Auderghem Walk
The sun came out in abundance while we took our refreshments at Au Repos des Chasseurs. It was great to spend some time on their terrace as we relaxed. Yuko joined us briefly though she is not in the photo. It was good to see her again.

Mon., Aug. 20th Sheila's Windmill Walk
There were only 4 of us today who braved the drizzle but it was nice to see Anne and Alison back from their holidays. Alison also brought a revived and more sprightly "Max" who after spending his UK holiday with 6 other doggies seems to have a new lease on life. Sheila started us from the Tram Museum parking lot but gave us a marvelous and interesting diversonary and meandering walk which included a windmill among other points of interest. She will have to do it again for the group at another time when there are more to enjoy it!!! Thanks Sheila it was fun.
Mon., Aug. 20th Sheila's Windmill Walk
Looking a bit bedraggled we took this group photo between the showers that persisted fairly well throughout the afternoon. At 18C it wasn't cold ... just damp and rather yukky.
Mon., Aug. 20th - Sheila's Windmill Walk
This is one of the many sights along the picturesque route ... It rained off and on as we made our trek around.
Mon., Aug. 20th - Sheila's Windmill Walk
It was fun to try a new Brasserie Kwak for our stop this afternoon. In spite of the weather we were able to sit on the terrace while we sipped our drinks.

Fri., Aug. 17th Sandy's La Hulpe Walk
It was a perfect late summer afternoon for our walk around the grounds of the Chateau de la Hulpe. It was a bit breezy to start but we warmed up quickly and soon shed our jackets.
Fri., Aug. 17th Sandy's Walk at La Hulpe
Nine of us enjoyed the outing today and we welcomed a new walker, Ann(e), (with hat). We hope she will join us again soon.
Fri., Aug. 17th Sandy's La Hulpe Walk
We only got a brief view of the chateau as we made our way around the grounds starting from the front on this walk.
Fri., Aug. 17th - Sandy's La Hulpe Walk
This was the perfect spot to end our walk today on the grounds of the Chateau de la Hulpe. We sat on the terrace of the cafe l"Homme Bleu across from the Museum Folon and enjoyed the weather and view until the clouds rolled in later. We never did get rain though the skies did look threatening.

There were 12 of us this afternoon to help Sheila try out this new walk. It was a real treat to find so many interesting and picturesque vistas to enjoy on our way. We also passed the vineyards of the Chardonnary grapes of Meerdael Click Here for More Info
