Paulette's walk in Overijse on 24th January 2020

It was cold today. Everybody was well wrapped up. But a brisk walk kept us warm. Nevertheless, we were all very happy to put our feet up at Paulette's for a coffee and a cookie.

18 January was International AHC Day.  Friday's walkers helping to raise awareness of this rare disease by raising an index finger to symbolise the number one, referring to one in a million, the prevalence of Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood.

Paulette's walk at Jesus Eik on 13th January

Today we had 14 ladies walking for nearly 2 hours in the Forêt de Soignes at Jesus Eik. We tried different paths and enjoyed the change. The timing was perfect since the rain only appeared when we were sitting together inside a café drinking our coffee with gusto.

Many thanks to Kyung-Sook for stepping in to lead us today, we had a lovely walk and took some smaller paths under the trees that I had not been on before.

And we were pleased to welcome one walker who was not due to be with us today: we are sorry she missed her lunch and hope that she will not catch the flu from her husband.

On a more serious note, our thoughts were with Joyce, and the walkers who could not be with us because they were supporting their close friend this afternoon.
