Eleven of us got up for an early start ... well 10.30am ... out at La Hulpe so that we could have a walk before a lunch and a visit to the 15th Anniversary Exhibition at the Fondation Folon.
Although there were a few damp feet due to the early morning dew (HUGE apologies), we had a very pleasant walk in the autumnal sunny morning.
We were very happy to meet up with Sheila, Keith & Heidi for lunch before we all went into the exhibition and then wandered around in smaller groups appreciating this exhibition.
The exhibition was, to quote one of our group, "whimsical and magical". We were delighted to see sketches which had never before been exhibited, and to appreciate Folon's sense of humour. We also noticed that his early interest in architecture was evident in his clear line drawings.
