Paulette's walk in Woluwe on18th February
A radiant sun accompanied our group on our bucolic walk along the Woluwe brook, past the Château Malou and the watermill (Le Moulin de Lindekemaele). We reached the old windmill near Hof ter Musschen and came back past the Chapel Marie la Miserable, the stade Fallon and the old railway.
A little pause at the tearoom "Equant"near the Place des Mayeurs where we were spoiled with a little piece of cake to accompany a warm drink.
Some decided to go for the comfort of a warm seat. Others preferred to enjoy the last rays of sun on the terrace.

Anne F's walk in Leefdaal
The weather was kind for our walk with even a blink of sunshine, but the walk was very muddy. Boots became so heavy with mud that we looked like Sindbad's Olive Oil with enormous feet. However, the effort of keeping upright as we squelched along was good for our thigh muscles and no-one fell over, so we returned to the car park with a sense of achievement. It was good to see Barbara again after an absence and we hope the ground is less muddy for our next walk.

Paulette's walk in Rouge-Cloître on 11th February
It looks as if the snow and the cold don't stop walkers to join the walks! It certainly helps when the weather is dry.
We started the walk around the Rouge Cloître and finish it on the other side of the E411 following the Drève des 3 Fontaines towards Blankedelle where Hanke showed us a new circuit. Thank you Hanke, we love new paths. All in all it took us 2h30 to get to the cafetaria of the ADEPS where we were glad to stretch our legs and exchange ideas.

Margaret's Tervuren/Wezembeek walk
Fourteen of us met at the elephant on a day that had promised to be quite pleasant weather-wise, only to find ourselves setting out in driving rain that whipped into our faces as we crossed the open fields. A muttered "shortcut" - a word not normally in our vocabulary - was even heard, but good humour prevailed as always and we soon reached more sheltered terrain. As we neared our destination the sky was clearing and we could dispense with our umbrellas. Tiring though it had been negotiating the muddy paths, twelve ladies gamely opted to do an extra loop before heading for the café to join Sheila and her group for a very welcome drink.

Paulette's walk in Genval
As you can see, it was pouring with rain last Friday but it didn't discourage 3 brave walkers from joining me for a walk around the lake of Genval. Cappuccinos and pancakes in the welcoming Shangri-La restaurant tasted even better than usual. Ghislaine popped in for a chat and was gracious enough to take a photo of our little group.
Who says the rain could stop us!
We're singing in the rain.....
