Paulette's walk in Jesus Eik on 28th September

Another very nice walking day with 10 very motivated ladies in our beautiful Foret de Soignes. It took more than 2 hours to walk  from Kapucijnendreef to the Arboretum following the "Royal Walk"then a taking a path to the Quatre-Bras and back. After that, a cappuccino + creme fraiche at Istas was very much appreciated by most of us.

1. 12 ladies showed up in the car park of Welriekende Dreef to begin a nice walk in the Foret de Soignes. Some came by car,

some by other means....

Walking through the Foret de Soignes is always a pleasure whatever the weather.

And the weather was  perfect for a walk and a drink outside as you can see

on the photograph taken at the Country Riding Club of Overijse

It was really enjoyable to watch some professionals training their horse while we were sitting

sipping our drinks on the terrace.

There were 5 loyal walkers who showed up today and the rain held off for us. We tweaked the walk; some worked, some didn't. We were turned away at the entrance to the Observatory, where I believed that we could walk across the hill. No, not possible

We added more of the Kauwberg to the walk, thanks to Jane Geer. We did 4.74 miles or 7.63 km and burned 322 calories. Lydia

Alas no photos today - more so because we were joined by Moira who was visiting Brussels from her new home in France and joined Sheila's walk.

Huge thanks to Jane and Sheila for leading us on  lovely walks - and to the weather for defying the forecasts and being excellent for walking!

Janet & Tina's Walk around Chateau de la Hulpe

We were a small group today, just 6 of us in the 'faster walkers' and only 1 in Sheila's group!  I'm really sorry Sheila - but I forgot to take a photo of your group!!!

It was lovely walking weather - beautiful blue sky, light breeze and dappled shadow under the trees.  And then a refreshing drink at The Blue Man.

Janet's Walk in the Foret de Soignes Today

Today a group of us met for a rather humid walk through the Foret de Soignes.  We set off from Dreve du Comte and followed a hilly and circuitous route which ended at the tennis club.

We were delighted to meet up with Sheila's group of walkers and to relax outside with our drinks.
