Fifteen ladies left the car park on a very sunny afternoon. The walk began in the shade along the Voer and then a long walk up to Duisburg. There were beautiful views over the countryside on the descent down to Vossem. As we were making our way back, we met up with Sheila's group - perfect timing. Despite the heat we had kept up a very fast pace and were glad to collapse at the cafe for a cooling drink.

Paulette's Strawberry Walk on Friday 27th May
Our walk started near the Grand Place of Ittre. It took us through fields and woods to the church of Haut-Ittre. Although the weather was not at its best, we enjoyed a nice brisk walk.
Here are 2 photos of Dolphine who is leaving Belgium in 2 weeks. We certainly will miss her.
And here is the reward: a wonderful afternoon tea in Penny's house who spoiled us with strawberry cakes.
Thank you to Penny and her husband who welcomed us again so graciously

23 May 2011 - Bonnie's bonnie walk in Tervuren
A great turn out for the walk today. We were 24 not counting Alex's son (brave lad) who volunteered to take our "family" photo.
We walked for a good two hours and did 10km and as you can see from the photos the weather was superb. Bonnie provided us with some of her delicious home made cookies which nearly caused a stampede. We came across one or two exercise stations along the way and Deborah decided to try it out......say no more. They say an image speaks a thousand words - this must be the image they mean.

Yuko's walk in Rouge-Cloitre
Seven ladies had a wonderful walk today in the peaceful area around the old abbey of Rouge-Cloitre. The weather was cool and damp - quite a change from the sunshine of the last few weeks - but perfect for walking!
After we left the forest, we walked through rue de la Pente in Auderghem, a steep and narrow street of cottages with beautiful gardens filled with roses.
We enjoyed our coffee in ADEPS and caught up on all our news.
Many thanks to Yuko for taking us on this lovely walk in the area she knows so well.

Charity walk and lunch at Veronique's house
Today's walk was an extra-special occasion as we were walking for the WIC charity. We started from Veronique's house at 11 am and had a splendid walk around the fields and woods of Moorsel in brilliant sunshine.
After the walk, we returned to Veronique's house where a delicious fresh fruit punch was waiting for us on the terrace.
We all enjoyed chatting to our walking friends in Veronique's lovely garden.
Here is the table set for lunch. There were more than 20 chairs!
The lunch was wonderful. Very many thanks to Veronique for hosting us and providing a delicious main course. Thanks also to all the ladies who helped with the preparation and clearing up. And of course a special thank-you to everyone for their contributions to the WIC charity.
