Mon., Apr. 28th - Sandy's Boitsfort Walk
Unfortunately, the beautiful weather that we had on Sunday did not carry over to Monday so we walked in overcast skies and sometimes a bit of drizzle. Here is the "athletes group" of todays walkers. Unfortunately, we did not get the 2 doing the Philosopher's walk with Sheila in the lead. Maybe next time???
Mon., Apr. 28th - Sandy's Boitsfort Walk
We took our refreshments at the Intero tennis club and thought it best to be inside this afternoon. Costas took good care of us and several ladies chose to order crepes with their hot drinks.

Fri., Apr. 25th Sheila's Bluebell Walk
Our "thanks" to both Sheila and Keith for checking out the bluebell walk for us so that we could enjoy it without getting lost this afternoon. We started out with a bit of overcast sky but the sun eventually brought us some delightful sprits of shadows that enhansed our enjoyment of the beautiful scenery.
Fri., Apr. 25th - Sheila's Bluebell Walk
We gave up waiting for the sun to peek out again and finally took his photo of the group. Unfortunately several more of the expected walkers did not make it to the meeting spot in time for the walk this afternoon.
Fri., Apr. 25th - Sheila's Bluebell Walk
It was hard to decide what would be the best photo to show the beauty of the Bluebell forest and several of us brought cameras to try to capture the beauty of it all.
Fri., Apr. 25th - Sheila's Blluebell Walk
Now let's see where we want to go next ??? ... Leena looks on as Paulette and Sheila consult the map
Fri., Apr. 25th - Sheila's Bluebell Walk
Our trek to the restaurant/cafe t'Kriekske was worth the diversion just to be able to sit out on their back deck while enjoying our refreshments. A few of the ladies also enjoyed their delicious tarte tatin. Several walkers caught up with us here after experiencing some confusion in finding the meeting spot for this afternoon's walk. Sorry ladies ....
Fri., Apr. 25th - Sheila's Bluebell Walk
Occasionally the sun did make an appearance throughout our excursion. Here is was nice to enjoy it as we completed our refreshments on the very pleasant outdoor deck!
Fri., Apr. 25th - Sheila's Bluebell Walk
And, so we made our way back through the Bluebells in the fading light to our cars while thinking about the glorious afternoon spent in their beautiful splendor.

Farewell to Max!
Dear Walkers,
Sad news!!! Alison who recently departed Brussels emailed from her farm in France to send the sad news of the passing of dear Max ... her's and Martin's beloved doggie who shared so many of our WIC walks with all of us. We will all miss Max! We thought you would want to know. Alison can be reached at the same email address she used when she was here. Sheila and Sandy

Mon., Apr. 21st - Marie Jo's Farewell Walk
What a beautiful morning we had for Marie Jo's Farewell walk!!! We had 15 for the walk and four more for the excellent meal at the Mercator restaurant which followed.
Mon., Apr. 21st - Marie Jo's Farewell Walk
We paused in the sunshine on a beautiful spring morning for this group shot. Marie Jo ... (white jacket) back from Spain and looking fit led us on her farewell walk through the forest and arboretum she knows so well. We all will miss her but know she will be back for frequent visits.
Mon., Apr. 21st - Marie Jo's Farewell Walk
The table was nicely arranged for the group this afternoon and we were well taken care of with a substantial four course lunch! Perhaps the walk should have been after the lunch. Thanks to all the ladies who gave Marie Jo such a nice send off!
Mon., Apr. 21st - Marie Jo's Farewell Walk
With 19 of us ... it was a challenge to try to capture all who attended the lunch at the Mercator gathered around the table in their back room.
Mon., Apr. 21st Marie Jo's Farewell Walk
And, the other end of the table where Marie Jo (right) held court! We all had a fine time and look forward to many return visits from her in the future ... beginning with Nov. 14th!!!

Mon., Apr. 7th - Sheila's Waterloo GC Walk
Although we started from the parking lot of the Waterloo Golf Club in Ohain we were soon out into open farmlands nearby. We encountered occasional mud but nothing that we could not handle. Jennifer reported the following statistics from her gps readings ... 6.1 km, 1 hr, 34 minutes! Thanks Jennifer!
Mon., Apr. 7th - Sheila's Waterloo GC Walk
With the Butte de Lion in the background, a small ancient chapel and typical mud puddle next to us ... to decorate our scene, we stopped to record our progress on today's walk. It was a bit windy at times but the sunshine was quite welcome and we all enjoyed Sheila's outing!
Mon., Apr. 7th - Sheila's Waterloo GC Walk
The lucky 13 of us adjourned to Miam for our refreshments on this sunny afternoon. It was great to have our own Maggie (2nd from right) back for a walk. We look forward to seeing her again soon. As usual we managed to take over the restaurant and were well taken care of by the management.
Mon., Apr. 7th - Sheila's Waterloo GC Walk
And, the other end of the table! Some of the ladies started thinking about walks they would like to learn and or originate over the next several months. Jennifer also stepped forward (so to speak) to serve on the committee to help coordinate the Monday walks as Sheila "retires"!!! Thanks to all 3 of you ... Dolphine, Isobel and Jennifer!!!

Fri., Apr. 4th - Linda's La Hulpe Walk
Our "thanks" to Linda (left) this afternoon who led "the Athelets" group around the route. At the same time, Sheila led the rest ... "the Philosophers", on a separate trail which was probably a little less intense. We all met up at the end at about the same time for our refreshments!
Fri., Apr. 4th - Linda's La Hulpe Walk
We were delighted to see some sprits of occasional sunshine and evidence of more and more green in the trees and bushes. At 15C it warmed up enough to help nature along. Just a few more warm weather days and all with burst forth.
