Today's walk clearly showed us the aftermath of the recent storms: fallen trees on the paths, broken branches everywhere, slippy underfoot. so glad no one got stuck in the mud!

Although the weather forecast was not very good this Monday, 14 ladies appeared at the meeting point ready to brave the elements. Luckily, the wind was not strong and there was not much rain.

Isobel's Walk on 17th February

Thank you Isobel for a lovely walk amongst the trees - both upright and fallen!  Unfortunately we were all to busy negotiating branches and brambles to stop and take photos, but we certainly saw evidence of the recent storm damage.

It was a mostly blue and beautiful day, and the two short sharp downpours didn't dampen our enthusiasm!

We did the "Koninglijke Wandeling" at the Arboretum of Jesus Eik. Nice long walk, 2 full hours, with an enthusiastic group.

Paulette's walk at Rouge-Cloître on 7th February

A record number of ladies turned up at the Rouge-Cloître this Friday, the sunniest and warmest day of a very grey and rainy week. We had the pleasure of welcoming Arlette and Tyrell, new walkers, whom we hope to see regularly. After the walk we stopped for a nice chat and lovely tea in the cosy atmosphere of the welcoming taverne du Rouge-Cloître.
