Margaret's Wezembeek walk

Ten walkers ventured out on this cold and windy day, including our recent recruits Miranda and Tracy - welcome, ladies!  And Joyce, it's great to see you back walking again!

 What a lovely day we had today! 7 degrees and sun! And one of our favourite walks, a mixture of mine and Janet's, always on little paths surrounded by trees, along little brooks. 

We finished the walk along the old hippodrome of Boitsfort and went to the Droh!me golf club for
 a coffee.
The weather was so mild that they installed us outside. Who would believe this is the middle of the winter!

Denise visits Sandy!

It was weather for the fearless today, with snow on the ground and whirling gusts of snowflakes all around. A very special and somewhat exhilarating walk reminiscent of childhood fun!

Janet and Paulette really enjoyed the fresh air and the long chat and the warm coffee at the end.

To the surprise of the leader, nine optimistic walkers arrived in the rain. Luckily not long after we set out it stopped raining. It was very pleasant wending our mudless way through the forest. We seemed to complete the walk in record time and were already in the Bosuil cafe when Sheila and her group arrived. Sorry no photographs of the walk today.

What a lovely walk we had yesterday in the Forêt de Soignes! The weather was gorgeous and the group very motivated. For many of us it was the first WIC walk of the year. We had of course a lot to catch up....

Nearly at the end of our walk we met with Sheila's group and continued together to the car park at the end of Rue Nisard before meeting again at "Les Filles de Papa" for a nice coffee

Our first walk of 2016 began under the rain. But our little group thought that braving the elements was worth the effort. It made us feel really good after all the culinary excesses of the December festivities. Moreover the rain disappeared as soon as we began to walk. How lucky can we be!!!:))

Unfortunately we missed Sheila, Denise, Ghislaine and Heidi who decided at the last minute to come and join us for a coffee. :(
