Charlotte's walk in Groenendaal

Thank you Charlotte for leading us on this lovely walk through the forest on a splendid late summer afternoon.
The 3 ladies at the front of the picture are wearing the new walkers' uniform.  Margaret gave up trying to make her stripes go the same way and retreated to the back row!
We met up with the Easy Walkers at Dreams cafe (where at least 2 of the drinks were more like a nightmare.....).

Once again, the WIC walkers were lucky to remain dry for the whole of Idit's lovely walk in the forest.

Sheila and the Easy Walkers were already installed at Mont Blanc, and we enjoyed our refreshments together on the sunny terrace.

Today was a good walking day for motivated walkers as it was raining cats and dogs all afternoon.

Nevertheless everyone seemed to enjoy the exercise!

WIC Walkers - Old Town Alexandria pop-up group
Towards the end of June I was lucky enough to spend a few days with Alex in Old Town Alexandria (Virginia).  Melly had just arrived back in America and lives no great distance from Alex and so the three of us were able to meet up for coffee.  Then Gail arrived in July which was a good excuse for another outing, so we all went to lunch in Old Town followed by a short walk along the Potomac.  It was way too hot to go for a proper WIC walk, but we did get as far as Alex's very impressive garden/allotment.

Another day I came across the "cyclists yield to walkers" sign, which I am sure many of the walkers will appreciate!

 

Paulette's walk in Lasne

A very nice walk in Lasne took us through fields and woods, along the golf course with a surprise at the end. Dear Christa invited us for an delicious afternoon tea on her terrace. We all took some time to visit and admire her lovely garden. Thank you Christa.
